Around 10:20 Company 16 was dispatched to the unit block of Main St in Darby Boro. Ladder 16 quickly responded with a crew of 6 followed by Squad 16 with a crew of 4. Engine 4 arrived as 1st due engine and went in service with an 1 3/4 inch hoseline. Ladder 16 arrived moments ladder and went in service as first due truck and began a search. After crews from 4 made entry they located a fire in the kitchen area of the 2nd floor. The fire was placed under control within an hour.
