The fire company will be showcasing one of our members every Monday. Today's #membermonday is Khiry Hopkins. Khiry is one a just a few members who joined the fire company as a 15 year old cadet.

When did you join YFC? I joined the fire company when I was 15 in 2012 through the cadet program. Didn’t become an official member until February of 2013.

What is your favorite part of being a member at YFC? My favorite part about being a member here is riding the ladder truck and being proud to work with hardcore aggressive firemen.

What do you do when you aren’t at the firehouse? Pre-Covid I was enjoying working out at the gym and actively swimming. Now I’m mostly playing video games.

What made you get into the fire service? I enjoyed seeing fire trucks and wanted to be a fireman.
Do you have any family in the fire service? I have no family in the fire service
