Yeadon Fire Company responded to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital today for a reported basement fire with entrapment. Crews arrived on scene with Darby Fire Company and found no smoke or fire, but did find a battery that exploded on a floor machine. The victim was escorted over to the Emergency Department by hospital staff. The incident was held to the first Engine and Ladder. Crews assisted with ventilation and went available shortly after.
