Just after 12:30 yesterday afternoon company 16 was dispatched for a building fire in the rear of a house on the 600 block of Cypress Street. Police arrived on scene and advised that there was smoke coming from a detached garage in the rear of a house on the 600 block of Arbor Rd. Engine 16 was the first in Engine and went in service with an 1 3/4 inch hose line to extinguish the fire. Engine 4 (Darby Fire Co.) also assisted with gaining entry and extinguishment. The fire was placed under control in about 10 minutes. Company 16 was also assisted by Lansdowne Fire Co and Holmes Fire Co..
